Obituary of Danial P. Yusz

Danial P. Yusz, 85, of Lake Placid, Fl and Bemus Point, died Monday September 22, 2014, in WCA Hospital. A native of Erie, PA, he was born March 29, 1929, a son of the late John and Mary Yusz. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Conrail as an engineer. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges, War Vets Recreation and Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Surviving is a daughter Dorothe (John) Yusz-Hubbert of Lake Placid, FL; three stepdaughters Mary Lou Ranney of Stockton, Nancy Price and Roxann Jurkowski, both of Bemus Point; eight grandchildren Amanda Mayer, John Hubbert, Jr. and Amy (Larry) Nogle, all of Florida, Jennifer (Adam) Stockmeyer of Holland, NY, Christopher Price of Bemus Point, Nicholas (Jennifer) Price of Jamestown, Mark (Wendy) Ranney of Randolph and James Ranney of Bemus Point and nine great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Joan Hawley, whom he married December 3, 1988 and who died September 17, 2010; a son-in-law Ray Jurkowski, one brother and seven sisters. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev. Jennifer Delahoy will officiate. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
