Obituary of Brian M. Blake

Brian M. Blake, 60, of 3967 Westman Road, Bemus Point, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in his home. He was born December 15, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of the late Millard "Jit" and Gloria Atwood Blake. A 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School, Brian served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 to 1977 where he received most of his electrical engineering education. As an electrical engineer, Brian had been employed by Goring Kerr, Ltd. with headquarters in Toronto, Canada, by Randolph Machine in Randolph, NY, and most recently as an independent engineering consultant for firms such as Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola and others. He is survived by a sister, Sandra (Alan) Morgan of Allegany, NY; nephew, Jason (Paula) Morgan of Olean, NY and great nephew and niece, Jared and Megan Morgan; an aunt, Nancy Roselle of Jamestown; his two dogs, Petey and PJ; as well as his former wife, Vicki Dittrich (Blake) of Bemus Point. He was preceded in death by his father in 1998 and mother in 2006. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
