Obituary of Shirley G. Rawlings

Shirley G. Rawlings, 82, of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday October 2, 2014, in University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. She was born August 14, 1932, in Akron, NY, a daughter of the late Howard and Katherine Heidelbach Daehn. While in Virginia she was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons Gregory (Diana) Rawlings of Santa Rosa, CA and Kevin (Stacie) Rawlings of Columbus, OH and seven grandchildren Kyle, Allison, Samantha, Stephanie, Cody Catherine and Elizabeth Rawlings. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Durwood Rawlings who died July 15, 1995. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
