Obituary of Charles O. Brown

Charles O. Brown Sr., 82, of 27 Park Street Jamestown, passed away Monday October 6, 2014 in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born December 23, 1931 in Portland, NY the son of the late Carl Baxter and Geneva Cranston. Charles was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1951 to 1954. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Dowcraft for many years. He was a member of John W. Tiffany Post 53 VFW, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Surviving are his wife, Patricia I. Magee Brown whom he married June 24, 1967; two sons, Charles O. Brown Jr. (Diane Indelcapo), Timothy Brown (Janell John); a daughter, Loretta Lynn Brown, all of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren, Charles O. Brown III (Christina Fisher), Desary Elizabeth Brown, Nicole Smith, Tiffany Brown, Scott Myers, Thomas Myers Jr., Courtney Marie Jackson, Heather Chyanne Brown, Michael Gray Brown, Nakmos Christine Morton, Nor Elizabeth Brown; four great grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Brown, Annabel Patricia Brown, Ericka Lynn Chaplin, Natas Allen Smith; a step son, Charles Brown Jr.; a brother, John Brown; four sisters, Joanne Brown, Nancy Constantino, Helen, and Delores. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Clyde Brown and a sister Pearl. As per Charles' wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
