Obituary of Kevin G. Kirchhoff

Kevin G. Kirchhoff, 48, of Jamestown, died Wednesday October 15, 2014, in his home. A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born March 10, 1966, the son of Harold (Jack) Kirchhoff and Gail Gifford Kirchhoff Galbato. He was a 1984 graduate of Jamestown High School, 1986 graduate of Jamestown Community College and 1988 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to his retirement, due to ill health, he was employed by Karpinski Engineering as a mechanical project engineer. He was a former member of both The National Society of Plumbing Engineers and the Jamestown Moose Lodge. Surviving besides his mother of Jamestown and father of Toronto, Canada, is his son Evan Kirchhoff of Ashville; former wife Tracy Johnson Kirchhoff of Ashville; two sisters Deborah (John) Overend of Lansing, KS and Jennifer (Paul) Norman of Gerry; step father Samuel Galbato of Jamestown; step mother Sherry Firing of Toronto; aunts and uncles Dennis and Mary Franklin, Gary and Ann Gifford, David and LuAnn Backus, Bernie and Ginger Kirchhoff, Bernie and Joyce Clements and Guy Gifford. Also surviving are nieces Emily (Josh) Whitehead, Katherine and Monika Overend, and Kassie and Tori Norman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Evelyn Gifford and Bernard and Katheryn Kirchhoff and uncle Michael Gifford. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
