Obituary of Phyllis E. Till

Phyllis E. Till, 90, formerly of 8 Crane Street, Jamestown, NY, died Friday October 17, 2014 in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 13, 1924, in Corry, PA the daughter of the late Harold and Myra Saxton Dietzel. She attended Lakewood schools. Prior to her retirement in 1981, she was employed by Jamestown Savings and Loan as head teller. She was a member of Buffalo Street, Kidder Memorial and Ross Mills United Methodist Churches. Her other memberships include Jamestown Women of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Thule Lodge. Surviving are two children James (Cindy) Till of Falconer and Lori (James) Terrill of Corry, PA; ten grandchildren Stephanie Braymiller, Andrea, Matt, Evan, Garrett and Erik Till, Shantel Kuzma, Jimmy Terrill, JoLynn McClintock and Ganna Hasson; nine great grandchildren, a sister Marilyn Olson of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Till, whom she married May 26, 1942 and who died February 18, 1999; a son Gary "Beaver" Till January 23, 2005; two granddaughters Kaitlin and Brittany Till; a brother H. Victor Dietzel and a sister Doris Dietzel. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
