Obituary of Edwin O. Anderson

Edwin O. Anderson, 84, of 65 Brookside Estates, Jamestown, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014, in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born March 13, 1930 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Oscar F.E. and Lillian Rinaldo Anderson. Before his retirement he was a self-employed carpenter in the Jamestown area for over 50 years. Ed was a member of the Lakewood Rd & Gun Club and was a former member of the Thule Lodge # 127, VASA Order of America and the Ingjald Lodge #65 Independent Order of the Vikings. He will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring person who took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR Races, the Buffalo Bills as well as feeding and watching the birds. Surviving are a son, Bruce E. (Cheryl) Anderson, a daughter, Brenda L. Kelly, two grandchildren, Shane B. Anderson, Bradley E. Anderson, four great grandchildren all of Jamestown and sister Elaine (Ralph) Fargo of CA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the former Leona M. "Lee" Christenson Anderson whom he married November 6, 1948 and who died October 21, 2013, a son, Bradley A. Anderson who died November 11, 2013 and a son-in-law Robert N. Lundin who died June 15, 2012. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
