Obituary of Richard A. Klein

Richard A. "Rich" Klein, 56, of New Rochelle, NY, formerly of Jamestown, NY passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014, in his home. He was born August 10, 1958 in Jamestown, NY a son of Shirley Hershkowitz Klein and the late Harry Klein. Rich was a 1976 graduate of Jamestown High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA. He was also a graduate of the Western New England Law School and Georgetown Law School. He was a member of the Allegheny Golf Team and followed his passion for golf throughout his life. He was a proud brother of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and an active Allegheny Alumnus. He was also a member of the Westchester Country Club and the Temple Israel in New Rochelle, NY. At the time of his illness, he was a prominent tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he had worked since 1991. Rich had a special gift to befriend anyone. He tenaciously fought his cancer for the past 6 years and inspired everyone with his courage and strength. He will be deeply missed for his wit and charm. Surviving are his mother, Shirley Klein of Jamestown, his loving wife Sue Klein, two daughters, Niki E. Klein, Ashley L. Klein all of New Rochelle, NY, two brothers, Michael D. (Susan) Klein of Denver, CO, Joel S. (Abby) of Williston, VT. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Klein who died April 15, 2014. Funeral services for Rich were held in New Rochelle, NY.
