Obituary of Shawn L. Moran

Shawn L. Moran, 60, of Jamestown, formerly of 45 South Washington St., Randolph, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014, in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born November 5, 1953 in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Frank M. and Ruth Jane Andersen Moran. Before his retirement due to health concerns, he was employed by the Metallic Ladder Company in Randolph. He had previously worked at E-Z Module, Watsons Manufacturing, Dahlstrom Manufacturing and Dawson Metal. Shawn was a member of the Randolph Fire Department and was a coach for the Randolph Midget Football League and the Randolph Middle School Football League for many years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and a big fan of the Cleveland Browns. Surviving are two sisters, Karen (Sam) Papaserge, Sherry (Jim) Hanson both of Jamestown, three brothers, Chris Andersen of Dansville, NY, James (Maria) Johnson, Jerry (Ann Zepka) Moran both of Jamestown, two step-sons, Shawn Emeke, Chris Emeke and two step-daughters, Jeanine Emeke, Michelle Emeke of Randolph, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard "Dick" Moran and Michael "Mike" Moran. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, in the Lind Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday, November 8th. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
