Obituary of Lloyd S. Brown

Lloyd S. Brown, 87, of Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, formerly of 41 Edith Ave, died Wednesday November 19, 2014 in WCA Hospital. He was born June 21, 1927 in Endeavor, PA the son of the late Lloyd M. and Florence Busch Brown. Lloyd was a graduate of Sugar Grove High School and served in the US Army during WWII. For 15 years, Lloyd was a truck driver at Penn Empire Trucking. Previously he was a foreman at Art Metal Corp. Following retirement, he drove bus for Carts. He was a member of Busti Church of God and their Lamplighters group, and the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion. Lloyd was an avid coin and stamp collector. Surviving are a daughter, Linda (John) Henry of Charlevoix, MI; step daughter, Jodi (Rocky) Griffin of Lakewood; four grandchildren, Shannon, Jason, Kristy, and Kasey; 5 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Anderson of Bemus Point; and Eleanor (James) Haskins of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Jewell Brown whom he married July 15, 1986 and who died January 20, 1997; a son, Robert Brown; a brother, Paul Brown; and a sister Gladys Norberg. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy E. Ferguson, pastor of Busti Church of God will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
