Obituary of Evelyn L. Pricskett
Evelyn Ann Pricskett, 75, of 3348 Old Fluvanna Rd., Jamestown, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
A lifelong area resident, she was born on July 30, 1939, in the family home, in the Town of Chautauqua, NY, a daughter of the late Lester L. and Pauline Parker Loveless.
She was a graduate of the former Bemus Point High School.
Before her retirement in 2004, she was an insurance adjuster for the Albert F. Stager Insurance Company in Buffalo, NY. In previous years she was an insurance agent for the former Anderson- Winchester Insurance Agency for several years.
She was a longtime member of the Fluvanna Community Church. She was also very active with the Boy Scouts of America serving on the Board of Directors and had received the Silver Beaver Award, which is the highest award given in Boy Scouting. She was also a member of the Jamestown Insurance Agents Association, the Buffalo Claims Association and the Federation of Insurance Women.
Surviving are her husband, George T. Pricskett whom she married November 27, 1968, a son, H. Wallace (Bonnie) Dean of Menomonie, WI, three step-sons, Thomas (Valerie) Pricskett of Portland, OR, J. Theodore Pricskett of Sacramento, CA, Jon Pricskett of Milford, NH, a step-daughter, Joyce Baader of Houston, TX, eight grandchildren, Andrew Dean, Joshua Dean, Patrick Dean all of WI, Kari Pearce, Joseph Urbanik, Dane Urbanik all of TX, Lauren Pricskett of New York City, Dominik Pricskett both of NH, many great grandchildren, three sisters, Alice Glose of Lancaster, NY, Mary (David) Ahlstrom of Bemus Point, NY, Grace (Jon) Rowe of Ashville, NY and two brothers, Charles (Debbie) Loveless of Panama, NY, Pete (Charlene) Loveless of Ashville, NY as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Fluvanna Community Church. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Mayville Cemetery at a later date.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the church.
