Dan was an outstanding man with so many talents. He came into my classroom at Washington Middle School to do WWII presentations for many years. Students were captivated by his first hand accounts of his overseas experiences. Dan also worked with students to improve their reading skills. Each week 2 students were chosen, and those who were not were highly disappointed, as he brought to life the printed page with his vast knowledge.
Steve worked with Dan at JPD, and is full of numerous funny, and interesting stories. He also has fond memories of bike rides with Dan to the beloved Bemus Point Inn, where Dan was welcomed like a celebrity.
Rest in peace Dan - you certainly touched many a life, young and old in a positive way. We will miss you.
