Obituary of Margaret Loder

Margaret "Peggy" Loder, 87, formerly of 82 Barker Street, passed away Wednesday December 3, 2014 surrounded by her three daughters. She was born March 23, 1927 in Dunmore, PA the daughter of the late John and Mary Lupca Straskulic. For over 25 years, Peggy was a dinner waitress at the Jamestown Moose Club. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Peggy was also a member of the War Vets, Moose Club Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Boys and Girls Club, and a former member of the YMCA. She enjoyed swimming, bowling, and golf. Surviving are three daughters, Diana (Timothy) Allen; Debi (Charles) Loder-Clark; Laurie (Rusty) Ricketts all of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Robert Champlin, Nicholas Loder Amatuzzo, Stephanie Ricketts, Danielle Clark, Alex Clark, Maegan Ricketts; and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Loder whom she married April 26, 1947 and who died September 19, 2005; a daughter Linda Kelsey who died October 25, 2008; and five brothers and three sisters. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
