Obituary of Eddie E. Parham

Eddie E. Parham, 78, of S Maple Street Ashville, formerly of 18 Bassett Street Jamestown, passed away Friday December 19, 2014 in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie. An area resident most of his life, he was born August 31, 1936 in Spartanburg, SC the son of the late Lawrence H. Parham and Susie Hipps Parham Green. Prior to retirement, Eddie worked at Blackstone Corp for many years. He was a member of Zion Tabernacle and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, card games, shooting pool, and watching old western movies. Eddie's family was most important to him, especially his grand babies. He did not miss any of their activities. Eddie was the center of all family gatherings, especially at the holidays. Surviving are four daughters, Deborah (Leadlay) Ogden of Orchard Park, NY; Tamara (Michael) Reeves of Jamestown; Terry (Joe) Cali of Ashville; Yvonne (Cliff) Green of Falconer; 12 grandchildren, Andrew Ogden, Joel Ogden, Jared (Sarah) Ogden, JoAnn (JR) Liffner, Heidi (John) Erickson, Madison DeLong, Michael Cali, Michelle (Jeff) Elleman-Cali, Tracy Langworthy, Shannon Langworthy, Jennifer Langworthy, Matthew Langworthy; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Howard Parham of Lawton, OK; and a sister, Margie Green of Cope, SC. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Drake Parham whom he married July 16, 1959 and who died October 19, 2002; and two sisters, MaryLou Barnett and Sandra Parris. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev Robert E. Reeves will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
