Obituary of Dave Surrena

James David "Dave" Surrena, 44, of 533 Prospect Street, died Sunday December 21, 2014. A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born July 18, 1970, a son of Sherrill "Jr" Surrena and the late Evelyn Elizabeth "Beth" McMurdy Surrena. He was a 1989 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Business College. He was employed by Giambrone's Pizza as manager. He and his family owned and operated Rudy'z Pizza and was owner operator of Surrena's Towing and Car Sales. He enjoyed racing at Stateline Speedway in the E-Mod Class and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving besides his father of Jamestown are three daughters Kristen and Kirstie Surrena both of Jamestown and Maddison Surrena of Frewsburg; a grandson Jayden Pratt of Jamestown; a sister Ruby (Ed) Holtz of Jamestown; two brothers Junior (JoAnne) Surrena and Dan Surrena, both of Jamestown; two half sisters Kelli and Cherylann Surrena, both of Jamestown and a half brother Ed Surrena of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his mother January 12, 1996. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Reeves will officiate.
