Obituary of Margery Nordstrand

Margery Nordstrand, 93, of 200 Schuyler St Jamestown, passed away Saturday January 31, 2015 in WCA Hospital. She was born July 2, 1921 in Shipley, England the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Waterhouse Naughton. Margery was secretary to the Busti-Lakewood Recreation Director for 13 years. She was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers. She was a great knitter who donated hundreds of pairs of mittens to various organizations each year. Surviving are two daughters, Kaaren (Allen) Swanson of Jamestown; Kathy Levandowski of Lakewood; five grandchildren, Aimee (Andrew) Finson of Bemus Point; David Levandowski of Jamestown; Heather Levandowski of Charlotte, NC; LouAnn Swanson of Greensboro, NC; Lisa (Dennis) Belk of Jamestown; six great grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Benjamin and Justin Finson; Scott Swanson; Kelly Warham; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Winnie Anderson of Bemus Point; and a brother, Tom Naughton of Penfield, NY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Peter Levandowski. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Entombment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
