Obituary of Nancy L. Reed

Nancy Weilacher Reed, 67, of 2109 Southwestern Dr., Lakewood, died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday (February 7, 2015) at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was born November 11, 1947 in Clarendon, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert and Susan Shay Weilacher. She attended Jamestown Community College and received her Bachelor's Degree from Houghton College. Nancy was a volunteer for the Office of the Aging in the office of Meals On Wheels and most recently as an Ombudsman. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Nancy enjoyed artistic painting, traveling and enjoying life to the fullest. She is survived by a daughter, LeeAnn Parker and son, Brent (Patti) Reed, both of Jamestown; seven grandchildren: Cody Parker, Dylan Griffith, Shawn Nichols, Jr., Vanessa Nichols, Jessica Nichols, Megan Ludwiczak and Brooke Ludwiczak; three great-grandchildren, Shawna, Kenneth and Justin Nichols; as well as a treasure trove of brothers and sisters, including Robert Weilacher of Palestine, TX, Susan Hazen of Athens, OH, Margaret McGee of Sarver, PA and David Weilacher of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Nichols, Sr.; and two brothers, Norman and Kenneth Weilacher and a sister, Patricia Rederer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Lakewood Baptist Church. The Rev. Daniel W. Cook will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
