Obituary of Antonette R. Tuccio

Antonette R. Tuccio, 84, formerly of 50 Norton Ave. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, she was born August 11, 1930 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Charles N. and Margaret Tedesco Agate. She was a 1949 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Before her retirement in 2005, she was employed as a Para-Professional by the Jamestown Board of Education where she worked for 21 years. Surviving are two grandchildren, Michael J. (Sara) Tuccio of Fredonia, NY, Jennifer L. Tuccio of Buffalo, NY, two great grandchildren, Jack and Molly Tuccio of Fredonia, a sister Mary Ann Giordano of Jamestown, NY, her niece and nephews, Gregory (Allyson) Giordano, Jeffrey (Michelle) Giordano, Anthony (Kim) Tuccio, Mark Tuccio, Greg (Becky) Tuccio, Jim (Heather) Tuccio, Russell (Cheri) Conti, Josie (Mark) Weed, Jim (Sharon) Tuccio and her daughter in law, Nancy Tuccio of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Tuccio, whom she married April 21, 1951 and who died April 22, 1995 and her son, Charles J. Tuccio who died September 20, 2000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
