Ruby was my Sunday School teacher back in the 1960s. I'm sure I was a challenging student, she was never afraid of my questions, gave honest answers at my level, and was happy to say that there are things that we don't know and things that are confusing. I'm still a Christian, and I think her formation was an important start for the rest of my life.

Ruby was so very special to us and our family. Her faith and commitment to Lakewood UMC were an inspiration to everyone. She has left a rich legacy through all the children in her Sunday School classes, through her music, Bible studies, and so much more. We were also fortunate that Ruby was our neighbor and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Mrs Harp was a very specjal lady. I first her when she became my Girl Scout Brownie leader. I went on to become a lifetime Girl Scout, adult leader & trainer.
She was an awesome mom to many.
Prayers to Dan & Joanne who I remember the most even after 50+ yrs.

My family and I send our sympathy and prayers to your family. Ruby was always a dear friend to my mother, Cathy Kettle. She became a "second mother" to me during my teenage years and beyond. I have such fond memories of traveling with her, spending time at the beach and playing games at our home. I have great memories of Shadyside Avenue both as child and when my children and I stayed with her while visiting Lakewood. Ruby was a special person, loving and full of faith and fun; we will miss her greatly. Please know that we are thinking of all of you and sending much love your way.
