Obituary of William A. Ribblett
William A. Ribblett, 42, of 433 Hazzard St., died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 in WCA Hospital.
He was born May 31, 1972 in Lackawanna, NY and was a 1991graduate of Richburg Central School.
Bill had served in the US Army Reserves during 1990 and was also a graduate of the Riverside School of Aeronautics in Utica, NY. He had formerly been employed by the Cummins Engine Co. and Thayer Tool & Die Inc. in Ashville.
Bill loved his family, loved his step-children like they were his own, and was a wonderful Papa; he was a great friend. He was very knowledgeable, loved history and airplanes, and he honored and respected his country and all the veterans who served. Bill's hobbies included playing video games and fiddling with different projects around the house. He spent most of his time with his favorite friend and companion, "Baby", a 4 lb. Chihuahua who he took everywhere because they were so inseparable. Bill was a unique and special person who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by Wendy Hess, his life soulmate for the past 18 years; his three step-children, Tj (Nicole) Hess of Ashville, and Stephanie Hess and Samantha Hess, both of Jamestown; two beautiful grandchildren, Parker and Aria; and a brother, Jason (Christian) Ribblett and sister, Jennifer (Chuck) Bennett, both of Gowanda, and a sister, Jodi Lochte Lamendola of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sandra Woodard, his father, William Ribblett, Jr. and his mother, Denise Lochte Schroder.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
