Obituary of Levere C. Pike

Levere C. Pike Jr., 83, of 5500 Button Valley Road, Ashville, died Friday March 6, 2015 in his home. He was born September 15, 1931 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Levere C. Pike Sr. and Viola Justinger Pike. Levere was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and for many years worked as a mason in the area. He was a member of the Watts Flats United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Levere C. (Janet) Pike III of Kiantone; Brian L. (Bobbi) Pike of PA; Jon R. Pike of New Orleans, LA; a daughter, Joni R. (Ted) Eades of Rochester, NY; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Watson Pike whom he married August 20, 1952 and who died January 8, 2011; a son Randall A. Pike who died November 17, 2011; two sisters, Patricia Treece; Nancy Pollineck; and a brother George Pike. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
