Obituary of Alma J. Gordon

Alma J. Gordon, 73, of 842 North Main Street Jamestown, passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born September 13, 1941 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Edward L. and Margaret C. Evans Ellis. Alma attended Jamestown Community College and enjoyed crafts and fishing. She loved her family deeply and lived for her grandchildren. She also loved her best friends, her dogs, Sabby and Pudgey. Surviving are her seven children, Kurt, Lon, Adam, Chad, Salamie, Samantha, and Jereimy; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Timothy S. (Betsy) Ellis; Donald E. (Donna) Ellis; and her sister in law, Kathleen Ellis, all of West Ellicott. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gordon whom she married December 28, 1999 in Fayetteville, Ark., and who died March 6, 2014; and a brother, Edward L. Ellis. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 18, 2015 in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
