Obituary of Mary S. Tarlo

Mary (Seekins) Tarlo, 60, passed away on Mar. 18, 2015 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA following a long illness. She was born on Apr. 21, 1954 to William (Bill) Ernest Seekins and Anne Corkery Seekins in Frewsburg, NY. She resided most of her life in the New York and Pennsylvania area. Mary was an active member of the Baha'i Faith and spent many years of her life in service to her community in various capacities. From her work with the American Cancer Society, Jones Hill General Hospital, Metropolitan Life Insurance, and Cassadaga Job Corps, as well as volunteer work with organizations such as Compeer, Mary was a woman of courage, devotion, and commitment. These traits also extended to her family and home life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anne Seekins, as well as her youngest sister, Kathleen Seekins-Boska. She is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Jeremy Tarlo; her only child and daughter, Leigh Haugh; her sisters, Anita (Rick) Festa and Nancy (Gary Wiezbic) Seekins; and her aunt, Mary Louise Corkery; as well as many other loved ones and cherished friends. Mary's funeral was held on Saturday, March 21 and she is buried at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, NY.
