Obituary of Terry L. Dahlin, Sr.

Terry L. Dahlin Sr. passed away Tuesday March 24, 2015 at WCA Hospital. He was born February 15, 1948 in Jamestown the son of the late Clair "Spike" Dahlin and Frannie Muff McCall. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Dahlin. He is survived by his companion, Rhonda Nelson; his two sons: Terry L. (Elizabeth) Dahlin Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; and James M. (Denise) Dahlin of Frewsburg, NY; eight grandchildren: Kate (Matt) Moore, Sabrina Dahlin, Lindsay Dahlin, Courtney Dahlin, Hannah Dahlin, Terry L. "Tucker" Dahlin III, Sarah (Colin) Myers, and Jacob Dahlin; five great grandchildren: Lucy Moore, Maverick Moore, Benjamin Dahlin, Brea Myers, and Avery Myers. Terry was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. In earlier years, he worked as a meat cutter for Fairbank Farms and Super Duper Grocery. Terry worked as a bricklayer for many years, retiring from Local 8, Jamestown Chapter. He was a member of the Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion in Frewsburg; Carroll Masonic Lodge 1147 F & AM; and the Carroll Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid Trap Shooter, shooting competitively for many years. He followed NASCAR, always rooting for the #24 car. Visitation will not be observed. Per his request, a private family memorial will be held. A memorial plaque will be placed by his beloved pond at "The Dome" as soon as possible.
