Obituary of Lyndle R. Berg

Lyndle R. Berg, 94, formerly of Carroll Manor, Frewsburg, NY, passed away at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong area resident, she was born October 14, 1920 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Sidney C. and Ruth Lillian Brown Johnson. Before her retirement she was employed in the Dietary Department at W.C.A. Hospital from 1964 to 1981. She was a member of the former Frewsburg Methodist Church and later attended the First Church of God, Jamestown. Her family will remember her as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard and enjoyed time spent with her friends from Carroll Manor. Surviving are three daughters, Kathleen (Terry) Pangborn of Jamestown, Patricia Noyd (Joe) DeLorenzo of Rochester, NY, Cindy (Scott) Humble of Ashville, NY, a son Wendell (Diane) Berg of Frewsburg, eleven grandchildren, Scott Noyd, Jeffrey Noyd, Noelle Noyd all of Frewsburg, David (Marie) Berg of Wilmington, NC, Jared Berg of Vernon, CT, Jeannine (Mark) Picard of Rochester, NY, Kristin (Jason) Emley of Frewsburg, Eric Humble of Ashville, NY, Morgan Humble of Dewittville, NY, Christine and Jodelle Berg as well as six great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl A.E. Berg whom she married February 16, 1940 and who died February 29, 1988, a son, Carl Gary Berg, a brother Lloyd Johnson and her son in law Allen Noyd. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, chaplain of Lutheran will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg, NY. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
