Obituary of Virginia E. Jacobs

Virginia E. Jacobs, 94, died Tuesday April 21, 2015, in Absolut of Westfield. She was born January 28, 1921, in Buffalo, a daughter of John and Eleanor Shafer Lent. She was employed by various Buffalo florists including Berner's Florist as a designer. She was a former member of Elma United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters Karen (Verdun) Kerswell of Niagara Falls, NY and Cheryl (John) Andrea; four grandchildren Katherine (John) Muldoon of Niagara Falls, John (Janice) Kerswell and James (Peggy) Kerswell, both of New Jersey and Jill (Jamie) Gilbert of Falconer; twelve great grandchildren and a brother John Lent of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Jacobs, whom she married January 28, 1939 and who died May 1, 1986 and two sisters Ruth Strachan and Edith Bauer.
