Obituary of William E. Butts

William E. Butts, 63, of 71 Camp Street, died unexpectedly Saturday April 25, 2015, in WCA Hospital. He was born March 11, 1952, in Jamestown, a son of the late Edson and Beulah Butts. Prior to his retirement he was employed by TitanX as a mill operator for 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, Hunting and fishing. Surviving are his companion of 25 years Irene Snow, with whom he made his home; four children Laura Butts of Alabama, Susan Butts-Gardner of Jamestown, Vance Butts of Georgia and William Butts III of Alabama; 9 grandchildren, Susan Butts, Erinne Spaulding, Robert and William Gardner, Joseph Morse, Vincent Loveless and Vanessa and Vineque Butts and two brothers Kelly and Jesse Butts. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Austin Butts and two brothers Shawn and Pete Butts. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home, where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
