Obituary of Melinda Christensen

Melinda Christensen, 59, of 116 Sampson Street, died Sunday May 17, 2015, in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. Born in Pennsylvania October 31, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn Houser Troutman. She had been employed by Lutheran Social Services as an aide for several years. She was a very generous, giving, caring person who enjoyed her friends. She always put others before herself. Everyone was welcome in her home. She loved to cook and if you went away hungry it was your own fault. Surviving are her husband Harry Christensen; two children Ryan Christensen of Jamestown and Lisa Christensen Shank of Mascoutah, IL; three grandchildren Kaylee and Alexis Christensen and Skyllar Talhelm; five brothers Charles, Ronald, Larry, Clifford and Robert Troutman and a sister Nancy Troutman. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Zion Tabernacle, 142 Foote Avenue, Jamestown, NY 14701.
