Obituary of Raymond W. Ordines

Raymond W. Ordines, 82, formerly of Mitchell Road, died Saturday May 16, 2015, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. An area resident all of his life, he was born November 22, 1932, in Jamestown, a son of the late Miguel and Ada Mead Ordines. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Prior to his retirement he was an electrician for over forty years for Marlin Rockwell, MRC and lastly, SKF. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, volunteer at WCA Hospital, former member of the Vikings, Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge, and had served as president of the Jamestown High School Football Booster Club. Surviving are three children Rick (Cindy) Ordines, Randy (Diana) Ordines and Rachelle (Jerry) Hildom, all of Jamestown; twelve grandchildren Mike and Scott Ordines, Lindsey Kershaw, Stephanie Jones, Jennifer Dempsey, Amanda Carlson, Matthew Hildom, Jessica LaFalce, Ashley and Taylor Ordines; Shawn and Andrew Shilling, nine great grandchildren Aurora Ordines, Logan, Ryan and Olivia Jones, Connor Dempsey, Oliver and Owen Kershaw, Nolan and Hailey Bush, Hilary, Hailey and Drew Shilling, Hunter Shilling and Matt Propheter and a sister Mary Johnson of Florida. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Nancy Raynor, whom he married September 20, 1952 and who died April 11, 2008 and a daughter Rhonda Ordines in 1983. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
