She was a member of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Elinor will be remembered as a most compassionate and generous person. When it came to helping others, nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Elinor was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. Surviving are two sons, James W. (Patricia) Hollern of Charlotte, NC; Timothy J. (Laurie) Hollern of Jamestown; two daughters, Susan E. (Greg) Leif, and Ellen H. Bobst, both of Jamestown; four grandchildren, Lisa (Casey) Bortnick of Buffalo; Jeffrey Hollern of Jamestown; Adam Bobst, and Lauren Bobst (Justin); a great grandson, Quintynn all of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Michael (Patricia) Porter of Meadville, PA; a sister, Carol A. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James, whom she married April 22, 1950 and who died January 14, 2011; and a sister, Mary M. Garvey. A memorial service will be held in July at a time and day to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home.
