Obituary of Beverly Ann Rushin

A graveside service for Beverly Ann Rushin, 79, of East Hampton, CT, formerly of Port St Lucie Fl, who died May 12, 2015, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 20, 2015, in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. After the service the family will welcome you to Alfie's Restaurant. Beverly was a graduate of Herkimer high School, SUNY Oswego, and earned a master's degree from Syracuse University. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Southwestern Central School, and South Fork High School in Stuart Fl as a school librarian. In her retirement Beverly published seven novels. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and American Association of University Women with which she helped found a chapter in Port St Lucie. Surviving are three children; Christine & Mike Hessler of Bethel Park, Pa Carol Rushin & Brad Fleeson of Genesee Co , and Randy & Diane Rushin of East Hampton CT, six grandchildren; three brothers, and one sister. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Rushin, whom she married November 22, 1968, and died February 22, 2008.
