Obituary of Edwin Sanchez

Edwin Sanchez, 58, of 8 Hall Ave. passed away at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015, in his home. An area resident since 1984, he was born December 24, 1956 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico a son of the late Heraldo and Ramonita Santaigo Sanchez. While living in Jamestown he was a self-employed car mechanic helping out his many family members and friends. Surviving are his wife, Lourdes Sanchez Morales whom he married February 9, 1978 in Puerto Rico, three sons, Edwin Sanchez, Jr., Abraham Sanchez, Lisciandro Sanchez, a daughter, Lourdes Sanchez all of Jamestown, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, Wilson Sanchez of Jamestown, George Santiago of Buffalo, NY and three sisters, Carmen Santiago of Jamestown, Josephine Santiago of Tampa, FL, Elizabeth Santiago of Redding, PA. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Gumersindo DeJesus will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
