Obituary of Wayne E. Olson

Wayne E. Olson, 72, of 46 Willow Ave. Jamestown, passed away Friday August 14, 2015 in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. He was born September 3, 1942 in Jamestown the son of the late Eric and Arlene Grant Olson. Wayne was a US Army Veteran serving with the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam. Prior to retirement, he worked at Fancher Chair and previously at Jamestown Sterling. He was a life member of the Jamestown Vietnam Veterans of America. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Betty Reagle Olson whom he married April 15, 1967; two sons, Duane (Kim) Ingalls of Clymer, NY; Steve (Tammy) Olson of Clarkston, MI; a daughter, Denise Giambra of Jamestown; nine grandchildren: Seth Ingalls, Zachariah (Paola) Ingalls, Jacqueline (Jeremy) LeVan, Jessica Banes, Kailey Levely, Jenelle Ingalls, Niklas Olson, Chase Olson, Ty Olson; and a great grandson Kayden Ingalls. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the Jamestown Vietnam Veterans of America, 41 Bigelow Ave., Jamestown.
