I will miss Bernice when I get back to visit friends in Jamestown. Since I left for MN, we have had lunch or dinner together with mutual friends every time I have been in Jamestown. She was a faithful Christian woman and a a loyal member of First Covenant Church. She was also a very knowledgeable librarian and willing to help when a friend needed information - before the Internet was so available. We always had fun talking about our love of cats and the strays that she befriended. I also knew her mom and dad. My mother was a friend of Bernice's mom and was her Sunday School teacher at First Covenant.

Bernice will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her kind concern for others.
I have great respect for her integrity and strong faith. She was a shining example of goodness in a human spirit. No doubts she will be eagerly welcomed to her heavenly home.

Bernice was my first supervisor at Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System. She was always so kind, thoughtful, encouraging and forgiving. I remember Bernice enjoyed a good laugh. I know her work, church and faith, and her cats were very important in her life. She was blessed to enjoy a long life and I was blessed to have known her.
