Obituary of Nancy L. Johnson

Nancy L. Johnson, 72, of Warren, Ohio, formerly of Sherman, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born March 28, 1943 in Sherman, a daughter of the late Clare E. and June E. Parker Schutt. An area resident most of her life, she was a graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement in 2000 she was employed by Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant for 23 years and then worked at Hegemeyer retiring again in 2009. Before moving to Ohio she attended Fluvanna Community Church. She enjoyed flowers, birds, and animals especially her cat. She had a strong faith and loved her family very much. Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert B. Johnson, whom she married Nov. 9, 1980; a son, Todd (Karen) Davidson of Jamestown; a daughter, Lucina "Cina" (Mark) Sawyer of Clearwater, Fl; 5 grandchildren: Blake and Adam Davidson of Jamestown, Abigail, Allison, and Jacob Potts of Warren, OH; a brother David (Barbara) Schutt of Panama; 2 sisters: Bonnie (Vernon) Davidson of Bemus Point and Cheryl (Bob) Gardiner of Sebring, FL; a sister-in-law, Kathy Clark of Jamestown; a son-in-law, Jeffrey Potts of Warren, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Potts who passed away July 24, 2014. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
