Obituary of Marie Agnes Darling

Marie Agnes Darling, 85, of Matson Road, died peacefully Wednesday September 2, 2015, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing surrounded by her family. She was born July 26, 1930, in Keesville, NY, a daughter of the late Raymond and Constance Rock LaMountain. She attended Fluvanna Community Church. Marie loved her family and friends very much. She enjoyed trips to the Adirondacks and the casino, playing bingo and the time spent working at Jan's Used Clothing. Surviving are eight children Diane (Paul) Peru, Keith (Cindy) Darling, Michael (Sharon) Darling, Robert (Carol) Darling, Charles (Judy) Darling, Gregory Darling, Ronald (Judy) Darling and David (Bonnie) Darling; grandchildren Karen Bucklin, Kelly Brown, Charlene Maring, Paul Peru, Jr, Amy, Paula and Keith Darling, Sherry Diers, Lisa Rowin, Travis and Ashley Darling, Charles Darling, Mindy Denis, Megan Tilyou, Mickey, Gregory, Melissa, Julie and Macey Darling, Donald and Cristy Apperson and Jamie Rogers; forty four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alton Darling, whom she married November 16, 1948 and who died August 22, 1975; a daughter Karen Sue Darling; grandchildren Michael Darling, Jr. Michelle Lindsey and Heather Darling; a great grandson Larry Anderson and two brothers Robert and Paul LaMountain. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fluvanna Community Church. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. A funeral luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Friends will be received from noon-2 p.m. Saturday in the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W.
