Obituary of Mona J. Rader

Mona J. Rader, 80, formerly of 28 Kinney St. passed away at 10:50 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident since 1952, she was born October 13, 1934 in Timblin, PA a daughter of the late Hobart E. and Birdie A. Kiehl Brocious. Before her retirement she was employed by the former McFadden Ford Dealership for several years. In previous years she had worked for the Jamestown Police Department, Dr. Anthony Barone, MD and the Jamestown Public School System. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time on her computer, knitting, doing puzzles and taking trips to the casino. Surviving are her husband Samuel W. Rader whom she married February 2, 1952, a daughter, Julie A. (Thomas) Coffin, a granddaughter, Elizabeth (Bruce) Gleason all of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a step-sister, Geraldine Giest. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Following the service family and friends are invited to the home of Tom and Julie Coffin. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd.
