Obituary of Edith G. Worch
Edith G. "Edie" Worch, 86, of 16 Arnold Street, formerly of 1742 S. Main Street Ext., died Wednesday October 28, 2015, in WCA Hospital.
A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born July 29, 1929, a daughter of the late Sam and Josephine Spitale Restivo.
She was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by Restivo's Alibi Restaurant as a cook for 30 years. She had also worked at Inter Royal Corporation for 20 years as a billing clerk.
She was a communicant of St James Catholic Church.
She was a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the auxiliaries of John W. Tiffany Post #53 VFW, Samuel Derby Post #556 American Legion.
Edie enjoyed ceramics, cooking and going to the casino.
Surviving are two sisters Rosemary Mattay of Jamestown and Carrie (John) LaMancuso of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Worch, Jr, whom she married April 2, 1966 and who died July 7, 2002 and five brothers Thomas, Joseph, Thomas J., Carl and Angelo Restivo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. Rev. Darrell Duffy will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
