Obituary of Earl B. Caffoe

Earl B. Caffoe, 79, of 47 Shady Lane, Jamestown, passed away at 9:02 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, in the UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. A lifelong area resident, he was born December 31, 1935 in Falconer, NY a son of the late Peter P. And Anne Euroe Caffoe. Earl was a graduate of Jamestown High School Class of 1953. Before his retirement on September 3, 1996, he was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service working from the Jamestown Post Office for 34 years. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Shirley A. Brunato Caffoe whom he married May 13, 1961 in St. James Catholic Church, two sons, Kevin D. (Shari) Caffoe of Jamestown, Todd M. (Stacey) Caffoe of Bloomfield, NY and three grandchildren, Lindsey Caffoe, Shane Caffoe, Caitlin James. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Caffoe who died in 1988 and Roger Caffoe who died in 2003. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015, in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015, two hours prior to the service in the Lind Funeral Home.
