Obituary of Arlene E. Carlson

Arlene E. Carlson, 92, formerly of 345 Hallock Street, died Friday November 27, 2015, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown resident all of her life, she was born February 25, 1923, a daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Mellander Carlson. She was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Dahlstrom Manufacturing Company as a clerk. Arlene was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Surviving is a cousin Jeanne Mellander of Johnson City, NY. She was preceded in death by Felix E. Carlson, whom she married November 10, 1945 and who died May 27, 1985. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Hinman will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
