Obituary of Lee LaVerne Devereaux

Lee LaVerne Devereaux, 76, of Cold Brook, NY passed away Monday November 30, 2015 at his son's home in Jamestown. He was born March 24, 1939 in Sugar Grove, PA the son of the late Merle Devereaux and Elizabeth Barton Devereaux Kipple. He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and served from 1959 until 1962 in the US Navy. Prior to retirement, Lee worked on various farms in Eastern NY. He was a member of the American Legion and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He also enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are four children, Dan (Melinda) Devereaux, Michelle Prince, Jacques Devereaux, and Vaner Devereaux; seven grandsons, William Nagy, Jordan, Jarrett, John, Alex, Andrew, and Aiden Devereaux; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Jenna Devereaux; a brother, Frank Devereaux of Corry, PA; a sister, Carlene Cochran of Ludlow, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ellen; two sisters, Mary and Mildred; and two brothers, Chet and his twin Leslie "Red". The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. No funeral service will be observed.
