Obituary of Helen F. Law

Helen F. Law, 93, formerly of the Bergquist Memorial Assisted Living, Gerry, NY, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015, in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident for most of her life, she was born July 9, 1922 in Punxsutawney, PA a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Helen M. Kuptz Law. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and in earlier years she was employed by the Sylvania Corporation in Jamestown, NY during the war. Helen was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at St. John Catholic Church and was a volunteer for the Joint Neighborhood Project. She will also be remembered as one who loved cats. Surviving is a sister, Jean Moran of Jamestown, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Thomas E. Law and a sister Dorothy A. Emslie. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Samuel Pellerito of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
