Obituary of Carl R. Black
Carl R. Black, 64 of West Ellicott, formerly of Fredonia passed away Tuesday December 29, 2015 in WCA Hospital.
He was born June 13, 1951 in Dunkirk, NY the son of the late William W. and Irene George Black.
Carl was a graduate of Fredonia High School and Jamestown Community College.
Prior to retirement, he was employed at Keywell Corporation-Vac Air Division in Frewsburg. Previously he worked for Dan's Moving and Storage in Dunkirk for many years. Carl was a member of the Thule Lodge and the Vikings. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and golfer.
Surviving are his twin brother, Kent D. (Beth A.) Black of Statesville, NC; three nieces, Jody (Dr. Darren) Williams of Edinboro, PA; Krista (Mark) Scholeno of Moravia, NY; Leslie Black of Statesville, NC; a nephew, William Black of Statesville; and a cousin, Mary Ella Bole of North East, PA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Anderson Black whom he married August 5, 1978 and who died June 15, 1994.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday January 2, 2016 in the Lind Funeral Home where a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
