I am so sorry for your loss. Other wrestlers have already said it; your dad cheered for every one of us. By name. I can remember his distinctive voice as one of the few I could hear (once the match started I could hear little but Coach Harrington's voice). I always knew Mr. King had my back. (This was especially nice because I was not one of the better wrestlers!!) He was a terrific guy.

We are keeping you all in our prayers. Everett worked in the same field as Gordie. We also shared membership in the Coachman Club. Every year when camp opened we could count on a visit from him in our site. Again when the rest of the members made their way to the Chautauqua County Firemen's Fraternity Grounds in Stockton, NY we would gather to break bread together. Afterwards we would retire to the common camp fire at our site. Visiting and catching up on all the changes in our lives and updating us on his medical condition and the family. One thing we know for sure is that he loved his wife and family. He cared deeply for the people in his life, friends and neighbors alike. Everett King was not just a member of anything, he was a willing participant. He will be missed by those who's lives he touched and in the memories of those he loved. God bless and keep each of you in his loving arms until you meet again in heaven.

Everett was a gentle, caring, soft-hearted soul who loved his family and his friends. He was also very welcoming to new people here in the Park; always making sure they knew about the different activities in the Park and occasionally inviting them out to dinner with him and Eleanor . He loved playing Bocce ... and chocolate tootsie roll pops. And every time we go out for breakfast and see a packet of strawberry jelly or jam, we think of Everett. He will always be with us .... in spriit, in thought, and in our hearts. He will be sorely missed.
