Helen,
Marty and I are very sorry to learn of the loss of your brother and Dorothy's husband George. Hoping that the family will cherish his memory and believe that the many good works he did for St. Nicholas and in our community made this a better place. We thank and honor him for his military service, the service in the community and to his church. He was a good man and is with the graces of our Lord.
Helen I also want to say thank you for being a good friend of my late mother and the comforting words you gave me.
May you be helped by the thoughts and prayers of others as you go thru this difficult time.

George: you were my first employer after college, and having worked for you for a total of 7 years, I learned a great deal from you, how to run a business, how to be diligent in research, how to be pleasant to clients. Thank you for your mentoring of me. I learned a great deal while working for you. It has helped me to be successful in my own land surveying business.
George & Dorothy: I always looked forward to seeing you each year at the Greek festival, and will miss that, as I have for the past couple of years. Your long lasting devotion to each other is in inspiration to many, as has been your service to others.
Dorothy & family: since hearing of George's passing, I have prayed regularly for God's peace to be upon all of your family as you mourn the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. May God continue to bless & comfort you all in this transitional time in your lives.
May the Holy Spirit come upon you & comfort you, Daniel L. Barry, PLS

George was a great personality and a good person to work for. I worked for him during college summers from 1963 to 1967 when I lived at 16 Osborn Street and knew him as a member of the First Baptist Church. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but glad that he had such a long and productive life. Best wishes to "Myrtle the Turtle" and the rest of the family.

George Dimas set an outstanding example for citizens. He was a patriot, a church leader, an active member of a service club, a wonderful family man and a top notch professional. When I practiced law he performed many surveys for me of properties in the area. He was always prompt, efficient, fair and very personable. He was a perfectionist when called upon to produce surveys buyers, attorneys, and banks could rely upon.
We in Chautauqua County were fortunate to have him move from Rochester to Jamestown in 1941.

So sorry for this loss! My name is Rebeca, and I grew up down the street on Catlin ave. from Mr. Dimas in the 60's- 70's. My last name was Minchener then, and I adored him! He would fuss over us girls and spray is with his garden hose! Lol, I just remember how much I liked him and saw him a few years after he moved away! He was a wonderful man!

We were saddened to hear of George's passing. He was a great guy. Such a loving man. While visiting in Jamestown, I spent many enjoyable Friday evenings with George and Dorothy, Vern and Phyllis Ramsey and my mother Evelyn Parsons. After a fish fry at one of the local Legions we would have a friendly card game at one of the homes. Such good humor and friendship around the table. My Dad was one of George's oldest and best friends. They were bachelors together and remained friends throughout their lives. Vern joined them in the '80s I believe. Dad, Vern and George are together again. Three great guys from the Greatest Generation. We thank them for their service and will miss them always. Love to Dorothy and the Dimas family. Debbie

Dear Dorothy and Avery, I was so sorry to hear of George's passing yesterday when Andrew called me. He was such a positive person to be around. He will sadly be missed by the Hill family. I always said he was Reino's partner in crime at the games, as George had to keep telling him what off sides was LOL. He was a great charmer and always had kind words and hugs for me. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather and has left a empty hole. Know that he is in a better place and probably getting in trouble with Reino and those angels. May you find peace in the coming weeks and know he is out of pain.
Love, Cheryl
