Obituary of Shirley I. Chapman
Shirley I. Chapman, 85, formerly of Alvin James Drive Ashville, passed away Thursday January 28, 2016 in Absolut at Westfield.
She was born November 26, 1930 in Corry, PA the daughter of the late Charles E. and Margaret Stroup Brightman.
Prior to retirement, Shirley worked as a clerk at the former Lakewood Super Duper for 28 years. She attended the Panama Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving is her sister, Elizabeth Zupp.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Chapman whom she married October 8, 1971 and who died February 6, 2006; a sister, Charlotte Bensch; and eight brothers, Carm, Wilford, Howard, Charles "Ben", Edwin, Delbert, Earl, and Carl Brightman.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery
