Tom, on this Christmas day I am remembering you for being one of my greatest gifts in life. Having you as both my older brother and lifelong friend was a blessing. Thank you for your generosity and the many helpful lessons in life you passed along. You left behind a boatload of good memories that still give me and many others joy. Although your stay here was too brief you still touched countless souls with your kindness throughout your journey. May you be at peace, surrounded by love and our paths cross again one day. I know you are still looking out for us and this is a comfort and much appreciated. Tom, our handsome, kind, intelligent, talented, funny, generous and loving brother, we miss you dearly and will love you always.
Love,
Beth

So sorry to just hear of Tommy's passing. We were in Scouts, and later in HS together. A great guy with a good sense of humor. Wish I knew he was in Jamestown while I was in Buffalo, it would have been fun getting together to reminisce. My sincere condolences to his family.

Being with Tom was always entertaining & very real...
i had made his acquaintance through a close friend of mine who treasured their friendship & held him dear...
seems he had many gifts & share them
graciously, he did...
our Love of the sea was mutual...
perhaps he has gone on to be coCaptain of a much larger vessel....
Bless him once again as he travels on...

Hello All: I just heard about Tommy's passing. I met him in 1977 when I first moved to the States. He was my first friend and he always made me laugh. It was a culture shock for me to live in New York, and Tommy really understood that and was so helpful. His dear friend, Peter Casserly and I were such serious macrobiotics at the time, and he always teased us about our earnestness. He was so smart and ready to have fun. I later fell in love with Chuckie and then Paul, who was the sweetest baby I had ever met. I actually can't remember the last time I saw him, but I have always held him in my heart. To all his family members, I know how much he loved and cared about each of you. Blessings, Shelley Casserly

Diane and family: I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. My entire family has very fond memories of Tom being over at our house when he was in high school. Somehow Tom won the heart of my mom and dad. Which knowing Tom that is very easy but he could do no wrong with my parents which was very rare. He was such a kind person and so much fun to be around. He will be missed.

To Beth, Diane, Rick, Paul and the entire family -
My sincere condolences to all of you at this very difficult time. Tom was such a sweet, caring and gentle fellow who always made me feel so comfortable to be in his presence, He lit up a room with that Dornhofer twinkle in his eye and had that distinct ability of knowledge on almost any subject. Haven't had the pleasure of seeing him in several years, but I can hope that he and my husband, John, are chatting everyone's ears off together up there in heaven. Rest peacefully Tom! XXOO! Here's to sailing with Uncle Tommy, The Father, Son, Brother, Yoga Instructor, Friend and Man we all love & admire for the countless generosities, endless wisdom & love he always had at the ready to offer my mother, my brothers and me.
I have a belief that we all have these experiences with Tom in common. He offered words of wisdom we should all strive to live by "Be courageous & strong, use your smarts, be adventurous & be good to your Mother" let them be heard now, carry them with you throughout your lives & whenever opportunity arises offer these wisdoms to our neighbors and our children.
You have my love always and all ways.
X's and O's Uncle Tom.
Your niece, Lea

Tom, my brother, my friend, how I miss you. Through the years our bond changed from the little sister you loved to tease to both of us just becoming part of a wide circle of mutual friends. Later in life as the miles separated us we still found time to stay in touch with yearly visits and phone calls.
Through all our personal struggles the last several years, we always knew we could count on each other and that just strengthened our bond. I'm so lucky to have had a brother like you in my life. Your warm smile and your generous, always willing to help, attitude will be missed by me and all who knew you.
May you be at peace.
