Obituary of Joseph A. Reale

Joseph A. Reale, 87, of Bemus Point, passed away at 3:22 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016. A lifelong area resident, he was born July 1, 1928 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Sebastian and Concetta Conti Reale. Prior to his retirement he had owned and operated several car related businesses in the Jamestown area. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Alma Girffey Reale whom he married August 20, 1949 in St. James Catholic Church, a son, Joseph B. (Diane) Reale of Sebastian, FL, a daughter, Sandra Reale of Jamestown, daughter in law, Sara Wolinsky Reale of Jamestown, six grandchildren, Vincent Brigiotta, Steven Brigiotta, Michael Reale all of Jamestown, Kristen Landt of Vero Beach, FL, Kimberly Reale of Buffalo, NY, Lauren Reale of Riverview, FL and two great grandchildren, Vincent Joseph Brigiotta, Abigail Elizabeth Landt. Besides his parents he was preceded in death his son, David A. Reale who died July 21, 2015, four brothers, Anthony Ciancio, Sebastian Ciancio, Carl Reale, Sandy Reale and two sisters, Angeline Galati and Carmella Rosella. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
