Obituary of Geary J. Frill

Geary J. Frill, 78, of 55 Norton Ave., died Monday, February 15, 2016 in his home. He was born March 16, 1937 in Lickenville, PA, a son of the late Clyde Geary and Dorothy Graham Frill. He later served in the US Army with duty in Germany and Lebanon. He had formerly been employed by Crescent Tool, and later retired as a machinist from Cummins Engine. Geary was a member of the Jamestown Rifle Club, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the War Vets. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and in earlier years, playing in the industrial softball league with Crescent Tool. Surviving is his wife, Susan Simmons Frill whom he married March 10, 1962; a son, Michael Frill of Allentown, PA and daughter, Linda Frill of Jamestown; two grandchildren, Brady and Sydney Frill, both of Allentown; and two brothers, Larry (Ruth) Frill of Lickenville, PA and Roger (Mary) Frill of Oil City, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Andrew Frill. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Phelps, Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service, from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
