Obituary of Carol Marsh

Carol R. Marsh, 82, of Asheboro, NC formerly of Jamestown, NY passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Cross Road Alzheimer's Care Center in Asheboro, NC. A Jamestown area resident for most of her life, she was born November 22, 1933 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of the late Harold T. and Edna M. Nelson Schreck. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School. Carol was baptized, confirmed and was married at the First Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She is survived by her children, Brenda Marsh (Jonathan) Weiss of Brooklyn, NY, Lori (David) Goehring of Winchester, MA, Cindy Marsh of Asheboro, NC, Lisa Marsh (George) Farenthold of Washington, DC, Julie (Tim) Dalton of Naples, FL, and Murray S. "Skip" (Karla) Marsh, Jr. of Asheboro, NC, her grandchildren, Emma Goehring, Nathaniel Goehring, Annie Ryerson, Carol Ryerson, Julie Ryerson, Andy Dalton and her sister, Nancy Guida. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Murray S. Marsh whom she married August 30, 1952 and who died June 26, 2015, two sisters, Frances Pearson and Alice Loughlin and a brother Paul Schreck. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 in the Memorial Chapel of First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Nagle, pastor will officiate. Burial was in the Lake View Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
